I wanted to move into the Lilac Lakehouse and never leave. The property was much larger than I expected — plenty of room to set up our badminton net and play football and soccer. We adored the dock and made good use of the paddleboards and also used our own kayaks. Was the ideal spot for my morning cup of tea and a good book :) Neighbours introduced themselves as they kayaked by and my kids loved visiting the goats who live across the street. It’s really the ideal setting for the next Hallmark Christmas movie. The house was spotless and designed right out of a magazine. So many thoughtful touches throughout the house made this place truly unique. Went with my family of 5 and my brother’s family of 5 and we always had lots of room. The outdoor kitchen was amazing and a good spot for happy hour :) The drive to Sandbanks and Picton was easy and picturesque. Looking forward to coming back here!

A Perfect Lakeside Getaway! We recently spent a week at the Lilac Lakehouse in Cressy with our three teenagers and had an absolutely fantastic holiday. The property is incredibly peaceful and relaxing — the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some quiet time away. The house was spotless and very well-maintained, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. One of the highlights was being able to dock our pontoon boat right on the property, which made exploring the lake super easy and convenient. The hosts were lovely, especially Andreea, who went above and beyond with helpful recommendations for things to do in the area. Her local tips really made our trip special. This was truly one of the most enjoyable and stress-free vacations we’ve had. We’re already looking forward to coming back. Highly recommend!

A private dock and pristine shoreline added to the sense of serenity—and yes, we made the most of it. Despite our large group, we never felt cramped. The layout is ideal for families or friend groups, with plenty of gathering spaces as well as quiet nooks to unwind. Whether lounging indoors or grilling outside, the cottage facilitated connection and relaxation in equal measure. This rental exceeded our expectations. Beautiful home - didn’t feel like a rental. This home has had a lot of thought and attention to detail. We were delighted with the layout, furnishings, appliances and everything else. We had the benefit of being one of the first to stay there which had an element of risk - however this was dispelled the moment we walked through the door. Highly recommend the home and the host. Enjoy BUT look after Lilac house so many others can enjoy.

As someone who loves to cook, the gourmet kitchen was a dream come true. Fully equipped with high-end appliances and plenty of space, it made preparing meals a joy and brought everyone together around food and conversation. The quiet, lakeside setting was incredibly calming. We especially loved practicing yoga on the deck overlooking the water, a serene way to start the day and connect with nature. It was exactly the kind of mindful relaxation we needed. This getaway exceeded every expectation. We spent every morning and evening on the dock, coffee or wine in hand, simply soaking in the peaceful surroundings. The outdoor BBQ area made dining a joy, especially with that gorgeous natural backdrop. Lilaclakehouse Cottage is the perfect blend of luxury and nature.
