Such a beautiful getaway from the city! The property itself is located on a quiet and secluded area of the lake where you can enjoy water activities without being disturbed by many boats. The yard area is huge, equipped with paddle boards, an oven, and a barbecue, and there are so many outdoor activities you can fill your stay with. The surrounding area has some of the most beautiful nature I’ve ever seen, making it perfect for walks and exploring. It’s also very close to the centre of Picton, which is a super fun town to explore. The owners actually built the house from scratch, and you can really tell that they put their hearts and souls into making this place perfect. Every small detail, from the massive fridge, to the pop up outlets on the kitchen island, to the unique bedroom designs demonstrates a fantastic commitment to luxury and quality! All of the bedrooms are equipped with an ensuite bathroom, each one decorated on a dedicated theme. There are three floors to the mansion, each one with its own charm. You can easily find a place to wind down anywhere in the house, or just admire the work that went into each detail. Not to mention that the sunsets on the lake are just beautiful to watch from the dock or over dinner and a drink. To put it simply, the lilac lake house was a 10/10 experience and I highly recommend this beautiful place to anyone who’s looking to make the most of their stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Lilac Lake House in May 2026 as a family of five—two parents, our young child, and the grandparents. The house was perfect for a multi-generational family vacation, with plenty of space for everyone to relax comfortably. We especially appreciated that a crib and high chair were provided, which made traveling with a young child so much easier. There was also lots of indoor and outdoor space for our little one to run around, play, and explore safely. The location was excellent for sightseeing. We used the house as a base for several memorable day trips, including visits to Ottawa, the Thousand Islands, and Montreal. 

After busy days of exploring, it was always a pleasure to return to the peaceful surroundings of the lake house. The property was clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We created some wonderful family memories here and would highly recommend Lilac Lake House to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway with family, especially those traveling with children and grandparents. We would happily stay again!
