The Cressy Suite

Named after the quiet hamlet we are proud to call home.

Some places are destinations; others feel like discoveries. Cressy is one of those places.

Tucked along the quiet southern shoreline of Prince Edward County, this small historic hamlet has never been interested in being the busiest place on the map. In fact, some might even call it the County’s best-kept secret (shhh…). There are no crowded sidewalks or bustling main streets here. Instead, you'll find winding country roads, family farms that have shaped the landscape for generations, neighbours who wave as they pass, and evenings where the loudest sound is often the breeze drifting in off the Cressy Cove.

It's a place that reminds you how peaceful life can feel when nothing is trying to rush it. We named this room in its honour.

Like the community itself, The Cressy Suite is welcoming without trying too hard. Bright, comfortable, and thoughtfully understated, it offers the same relaxed elegance found throughout the Lakehouse while celebrating the simple pleasures of sharing time with the people you've travelled here to see.

Bright modern bedroom with two twin beds, abstract wall art, window with curtains, dresser, and hallway in soft neutral tones

With two comfortable double beds, it's a wonderful space for siblings, lifelong friends, cousins gathering for a family weekend, or parents travelling with children. Somehow, sharing a room while away from home always seems to create its own little traditions. Someone inevitably tells "just one more story." Someone laughs so hard the conversation has to pause, sometimes several times. Tomorrow's plans are made between pillows instead of calendars.

These are often the moments people remember most.

Morning arrives gently here. Sunlight filters through the windows, slowly filling the room as another day begins in the County. The view beyond is one of open skies and quiet countryside, where each season paints the landscape differently. It's the kind of morning that encourages you to wake naturally, stretch a little longer, and wonder whether today calls for wineries, a visit to Sandbanks, an afternoon on the dock, or perhaps nothing more ambitious than another coffee and a good conversation.

Sometimes, the best itinerary is no itinerary at all.

The room itself embraces soft neutral tones, warm woods, and timeless furnishings that feel both refined and comfortably lived in. High ceilings create an airy sense of openness, while gentle lighting and layered textures make the room feel inviting from the moment you unpack.

Speaking of unpacking, the custom built-in wardrobe offers generous shelving and deep drawers, making it easy to settle in whether you're escaping for a weekend or staying long enough to truly embrace the slower rhythm of County life. Once everything has found its place, the room begins to feel less like somewhere you're visiting and more like somewhere you've borrowed from an old friend.

The private ensuite continues that feeling of quiet comfort.

Bright modern bathroom with white sink, wall-mounted toilet, mirror, shelves, plant, and gray accents.

Its oversized curbless shower features invigorating body jets, offering a spa-inspired experience after a day spent exploring Prince Edward County. Whether you've wandered local markets, sampled wines at nearby vineyards, cycled country roads, or simply enjoyed an afternoon beside the lake, the warm water has a wonderful way of easing tired legs while inviting the day to linger just a little longer.

Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap are thoughtfully provided, while The Nook, our honour-system convenience shop, is always nearby should you discover you've forgotten something at home. From travel essentials to locally crafted soaps and thoughtful little luxuries, it's there to make your stay feel just a little easier.

Beyond your bedroom door, another favourite gathering place awaits. The upstairs loft often becomes the unofficial morning meeting spot, where coffee is poured, plans are gently debated, and nobody seems particularly eager to hurry downstairs. Just beyond, The Sunrise Balcony offers one more opportunity to pause, overlooking the neighbouring fields as the County slowly comes to life beneath the morning sun.

It's remarkable how quickly strangers to the pace of rural life begin to adopt it.

When we think about Cressy, we don't first think about buildings or roads… we think about a feeling: the comfort of knowing your neighbours, the beauty of open landscapes, and the luxury of quiet evenings. But, above all, it’s the reminder that life's richest moments rarely announce themselves… they simply happen when we're present enough to notice them.

We hope The Cressy Room offers a little of that same feeling.

Because while you'll leave Prince Edward County with photographs of the places you visited, our hope is that you'll also leave with something less tangible: a slower heartbeat,a favourite memory…

…And perhaps a small piece of Cressy that stays with you long after you've returned home.

Your next quiet moment... → Awaits beneath the stars on the Waterfront Deck.
