The Entryway

Where the journey ends and your getaway begins.
Every memorable stay has a moment when it finally feels real: not when the booking is confirmed, not when the car turns onto the quiet roads of Prince Edward County. It's the moment you step out, take a deep breath of fresh County air, and walk toward the front door knowing there's nowhere else you need to be. The arrival begins long before you step inside.

A wide staircase leads you to the covered front porch, where oversized urns overflowing with floral arrangements frame the navy front doors through the changing seasons. Above, a traditional coach light glows warmly into the evening, welcoming guests home after long days spent exploring wineries, beaches, and quiet country roads.
It's an entrance designed to slow your pace before you even reach the handle. Step through the doors and the Lakehouse opens before you.
The ceiling rises overhead, natural white-washed log walls create a sense of warmth, and three sculptural pendant lights quietly draw your eyes upward before they're pulled toward something even more inviting… the glimpse of Lake Ontario waiting beyond the Living Room.
Almost instinctively, everyone looks toward the water first. Before bags are unpacked. Before shoes are kicked off. Before anyone asks, "Which bedroom is mine?" The house gently introduces itself.

To one side, a vintage loveseat offers a comfortable place to sit while slipping off shoes after the journey. Nearby, a welcoming console table, anchored by peaceful sailboat artwork, marks the beginning of your stay.
This is also where the Lakehouse quietly becomes your home.
A simple tap of the wooden Wi-Fi puck connects your devices, while the nearby Google Hub is ready to assist throughout your visit: from adjusting the temperature and playing your favourite music to answering the little questions that inevitably come up during a County getaway.
Technology is here when you need it. Otherwise, it politely stays in the background.
Just beyond and to the right, a spacious coat and shoe closet makes it easy to tuck away jackets, boots, beach bags, and everything else that belongs to the journey rather than the vacation. It's one of those thoughtful details that quickly makes the house feel settled, allowing the open spaces beyond to remain calm and uncluttered throughout your stay. Above, a star-shaped pendant light quietly watches over the space. We like to think it's a small reminder that every great adventure needs a North Star.
For us, that's always been this place: a home built for slowing down, reconnecting, and creating memories with the people who matter most.
Just around the corner, the main floor powder room offers convenience without interrupting the flow of the house, particularly when everyone is gathered together for dinner, movie nights, or celebrations.
But few guests linger in the entryway for long. Because just ahead, the Lakehouse offers its first invitation. The living room unfolds before you, and beyond it, sunlight dances across the water.
And somewhere in the distance, the lake quietly reminds you why you came. Your bags can wait another minute.
Make yourself at home.
Your next quiet moment... → Begins in The Living Room.
