The Lake Suite

A room where every glance leads back to the water.
There is something about the lake that quietly reshapes a day before it even begins.
Perhaps it's the way the morning light glimmers across the water, or how the cove seems to wake at its own gentle pace, never asking you to hurry along with it. Before breakfast is planned, before anyone decides which winery to visit or whether the day calls for paddleboarding, a long walk, or simply another cup of coffee, there is a moment when the only thing worth doing is looking outside.
The Lake Suite was designed for that moment.

Inspired by the ever-changing colours of Lake Ontario and the sailboats seeking calm on the cove, the suite embraces a palette of soft neutrals, deep navy blues, warm woods, and natural textures. It reflects the water not by copying it, but by capturing its calm. The room feels bright yet grounded, open yet wonderfully cozy; an inviting place where the view becomes part of the décor.
The first thing many guests notice isn't the king-sized bed or the soaring ceiling overhead.
It's where their eyes naturally drift… to the floor-to-ceiling balcony doors that draw the outdoors in, framing the peaceful cove like a living painting that changes with every passing hour. On still mornings, the water reflects the sky so perfectly it almost disappears. By afternoon, a gentle breeze sends tiny ripples dancing across its surface. As evening settles in, the lake catches the fading light, offering one last quiet performance before the twinkling stars begin to appear.
Some views ask to be photographed.
This one simply asks you to stay a little longer.
Slide open the doors and step onto your private balcony, where two comfortable chairs wait for unhurried conversations, a favourite book, or perhaps nothing more than listening to the breeze move through the shoreline trees. It's an easy place to lose track of time, and one of our favourite places to begin or end the day.
Inside, every detail encourages the same sense of ease.
The spacious walk-in closet allows you to unpack completely, letting luggage disappear from sight so the room feels like your own from the moment you arrive. For families travelling with younger guests, a portable adjustable crib can also be added upon request, making it easy to welcome every generation without compromising the suite's peaceful atmosphere.
Tucked beside the balcony doors sits a comfortable reading chair, quietly becoming one of the room's most cherished corners. It's where early risers enjoy the first light with a warm mug in hand, where afternoon readers promise themselves "just one more chapter," and where the outside world somehow feels pleasantly distant.
Not every memorable vacation needs to be filled with activity.
Sometimes, it's the simple moments that linger longest.

The ensuite bathroom continues the room's calming character with clean lines, soft lighting, and a deep freestanding soaker tub that invites you to slow the day down. Complete with a handheld shower for convenience, it's a space designed less for rushing through a morning routine and more for lingering after an afternoon spent exploring Prince Edward County.
Whether you've wandered local vineyards, discovered a quiet beach, or spent the day doing wonderfully little at all, there's something deeply satisfying about returning to warm water, soft towels, and nowhere else to be.
The Lake Suite's ensuite does not include a separate standing shower, allowing the space to focus entirely on the comfort of the deep soaker tub (with a hand-held shower).
Shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand soap are thoughtfully provided, while The Nook —our honour-system convenience shop just steps away— offers everyday essentials you may have forgotten, alongside small indulgences like locally crafted soaps and luxurious bubble bath kits. After all, some evenings deserve to be celebrated with nothing more than a long soak and a good book.
Just outside your door, the upper-floor loft offers another favourite gathering place.
Some mornings begin there with fresh coffee and quiet conversation as the rest of the house slowly comes to life. Others wander across to The Sunrise Balcony, where the first golden light spills over the neighbouring fields before making its way toward the lake. It's a peaceful contrast to the water-facing rooms—a reminder that every corner of the Lakehouse offers its own way of greeting the day.
When we imagined the Lake Suite, we didn't set out to create a room that simply overlooked the water.
We wanted to create a room that felt connected to it.
A place where the changing light becomes part of your day. Where conversations pause because someone has noticed the lake changing colour again. Where an ordinary morning somehow feels extraordinary simply because you gave yourself permission to enjoy it.
The calm, Cressy Cove has never been in a hurry.
Perhaps that's why it's so easy to leave your everyday rush behind here.
